In order to make our musical environment as safe as possible for everyone, masking by all adults and up to date covid vaccinations for everyone 6 months and older are required. The children are free to move around as long as they are safe and grandparents are welcome to join the class free of charge.Ĭovid Protocols Songbird Music Together continues to take covid-19 seriously as a public health risk. Each 45 minute class includes singing, movement, rhyming, rhythm instrument play and fun! These activities naturally support the skills children are developing including language, pre-literacy, executive functions and math and are fun for the whole family. This fall we will be using the Bongos Collection of music. ![]() Adults and children make music together in a playful, non-performance environment, supporting all aspects of the children's learning. Songbird Music Together classes are mixed ages for infants - kindergartners and their parents/guardians/grandparents/caregivers. Make ups are encouraged during the Fall or Winter sessions. Registration for our Fall 2023 Session, September 12th - November 16th is now available! A Pay What You Can option is available for everyone needing it and fees are prorated if you are enrolling after the beginning of the session. Adults are happy because the children in the family can go to class together! The relaxed, no pressure environment lets all kids learn at their own pace. The younger children enjoy watching and imitating the older children while the older children learn by leading the younger ones. The mixed age classes follow the recommendations of child development researchers, grouping children of a variety of ages because this fosters natural, family style learning. The classes are designed for children of varied learning styles and personalities with participation modeled by the child's parent/grandparent/caregiver. Music Together has been offering classes since 1987 when it pioneered the concept of research based, developmentally appropriate early childhood music curriculum emphasizing adult involvement. Participating in musical activities supports all aspects of learning and encourages social, emotional and physical development. Did you know all children are musical?
